Our Golden Jubilee
Last year we celebrated 50 years of Physiotherapy in Ealing – it was our Golden Jubilee and we are very proud of this achievement.
The practice was started when my GP asked me to see one of his patients in the area but I had recently given birth to our daughter Sarah and wasn’t intending to work. However the challenge was just the stimulus that I needed. Sarah travelled around in a red carrycot and fortunately was a good sleeper. So…the practice was launched. Our son Andrew was born 20 months later and with the help and support of family and friends we set up a treatment room at home. Over the years the practice grew and we needed more space. Fortunately I was able to move the practice into its current home, which was a stable and coach house in the late 19th century complete with original cobbles and part of the stalls used for the horses. The original blue and white porcelain tiles are under the modern decoration.
With such a large space we were able to create a Pilates room which doubles as a treatment room and a teaching room for visiting doctors. Downstairs we have 2 treatment rooms, a small gym and an office. We are fortunate to have off-street parking for 3 cars, which is wonderful.
So now we are happy in our stable with our marvellous friendly office staff and a team of physiotherapists who are brilliant. We continue to offer an exceptionally high standard of care to the Ealing community and outlying areas, so watch out for our Diamond Jubilee!
